Does archiving delete the original records?

No. Archiving and source removal are separate. Removal requires verification, approval, and a maintained write freeze. You can archive without deleting.

Who can access archived records?

Access follows Vivly environment roles. The archive viewer does not automatically inherit live Salesforce record sharing or field permissions.

Do I still need backup?

Yes. Archiving manages inactive history. Backup protects recovery copies of the records your business depends on.
